Allah will raise up, to (suitable) ranks and (degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted knowledge. And Allah is well-acquainted with all you do. ~ Qur'an 58:11
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous Who has taught (the writing) by the pen Has taught man that which he knew not. ~Quran 96:1-5
Whosoever Allah wishes good for, He gives him understanding (fiqh) of the Religion. (Bukhari and Muslim)
No people gather together in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, the angels surround them, and Allah makes mention of them amongst those who are in His presence. (Muslim)
If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. (Abu-Dawud)
The superiority of the learned man over the worshipper is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes a big fortune. (Abu-Dawud)
"Whoever aims to acquire knowledge all at once, it will leave him all at once. Rather knowledge should be acquired over the passage of days and nights" (Ibn Shihab Az-Zuhri)
